Support of venues
A number of schemes and initiatives have been established for the particular support of venues. These are in line with Arts Council policy to encourage venues to produce, co-produce and collaborate while supporting them to achieve the highest standards in artistic policy and programming, governance, management and operations.
- Touring and dissemination of work scheme which provides supports to touring promoters in all artforms. This scheme includes the provision of support to companies and networks to present their work to the widest possible audience in the most effective way.
- Theatre Artist Residency and Dance Artist Residency schemes which encourage venues to act as places of work for artists and which also encourage arts offices in local authorities and venues to collaborate on joint projects.
- Arts Audiences which undertakes initiatives and offers supports consistent with the implementation of the Arts Council's policy on touring
