How do I submit an application for the Creative Schools initiative?
All applications must be made through the Arts Council’s Online Services; applications made in any other way (by post, fax or email) will not be accepted. You must have an Online Services account to make an application. If your school/centre already has an account, you should use this account. If you do not already have an Online Services account, sign up by filling out the registration form here: https://onlineservices.artscouncil.ie/register.aspx
How much can my school apply for through the Creative Schools initiative?
Schools/centres can apply for a once-off grant of €4,000 (in total) to implement their plans over the two school years 2020–21 and 2021–22. Please see the Creative Schools guidelines for further information http://www.artscouncil.ie/Funds/Creative-Schools-Initiative/
Is my school eligible to apply to the Creative Schools initiative?
All Department of Education and Skills-recognised primary and post-primary schools and Youthreach centres that have not already participated in a previous round of Creative Schools are eligible to apply. We are a fee paying school. Are we eligible to apply to Creative Schools?
Yes. All Department of Education and Skills recognised primary and post-primary schools and Youthreach centres that have not already participated in a previous round of Creative Schools are eligible to apply.
We are in a Creative Cluster, are we are eligible to apply to be a creative school?
No. Schools/centres participating in the Creative Clusters initiative during the 2020-21 school year are not eligible to apply. Schools/centres that began their work in the Creative Clusters initiative in the 2018-19 school year, have completed the second year and are no longer involved from start of the 2020-21 school year, are eligible to apply to the Creative Schools initiative.
How do I register my school/centre?
Schools/ centres must register with the Arts Council as a group or organisation (rather than as an individual) before making the application. If your school/centre has already registered with the Arts Council’s Online Services, you do not need to register again, and you should use your ARN to apply. If you are registering for the first time, please ensure your school/centre name is the same as the one used on your bank account.
Can I email or post my Creative Schools application?
No. All applications must be made through the Arts Council’s Online Services; applications made in any other way (by post, fax or email) will not be accepted.
We received a Creative Schools grant. How do we request a payment?
Go to the Online Services login section on the Arts Councils website: https://onlineservices.artscouncil.ie/Secure/Login.aspx?lang=en-ie. Enter your ARN (Artistic reference number) & password, then follow the prompts to request a payment.
I have an enquiry, who should I contact?
An ARN is your schools ‘Artistic reference number’, you will need this to access your Online Services account.
What happens if I forget my ARN?
Refer to your schools offer letter which has the ARN. Alternatively, contact the Creative Schools team who will provide you with your ARN. Email email@example.com
What happens if I forget my password?
When logging into Online Services there is a prompt where you input your details advising “Forgot my password”. The email address you registered with will then receive a temporary password.
I’ve submitted my payment request. When will funds reach my schools bank account?
Provided all information you supplied is correct, you should expect payment in approximately 2-3 weeks.
I would like to submit an image for possible inclusion on the website, where should I send this image?
All images should be submitted via the Arts Council’s imagebank http://www.artscouncil.ie/imagebank/
Do I need to update my bank and tax details each time I receive an award?
No. If there has been no change, no updates are necessary.
