The Arts Council has achieved ISO 27001 certification, considered the global standard in information security. The government agency for
developing the arts said this meant its information and assets, and those of its grant applicants, suppliers and other stakeholders, would be well
On a visit to the Arts Council’s offices in Dublin to mark the occasion, the Minister for Communications,
Climate Action and Environment, Denis Naughten TD congratulated the agency on achieving the certification, and encouraged other state bodies to
adopt a similar approach. Minister Naughten has Cabinet responsibility for cyber security and has long been an advocate of increased vigilance on
information security, in both the public and the private sectors.
