Miriam has 25 years experience as a professional arts manager and producer; in arts organisations, festivals, venues and events. She began her arts career as administrator of Red Kettle Theatre Company, producing work with the company throughout Ireland, including the Abbey Theatre. She was a founding member of Waterford Spraoi International Street Arts Festival in 1993 and worked with Spraoi in various roles before becoming the festival’s programme director in 2002. She has worked extensively with street theatre companies throughout Ireland and abroad.
Since leaving Spraoi in 2011 she has worked in a freelance capacity, as a senior manager, providing artistic direction and project management to a wide range of organisations, including local authorities, throughout Ireland. Miriam is a former member of the boards of AOIFE (Association of Irish Festivals and Events) and Waterford Spraoi.
