Financial support

The Arts Council offers a wide range of financial supports across artforms and arts practices, including circus (as listed below). We support circus in a number of ways, from bursaries to individuals through to the revenue funding of touring organisations and of festivals. The Travel and Training Award enable individuals working in circus to view work abroad and undertake time-limited training. Travel & training award	31 December 2012	8000	There are three strands to this award: Travel and Training Outbound to support individuals who wish to avail of training and other professional development opportunities abroad; Travel and Training Inbound to support individuals or organisations who wish to invite specialists from abroad to deliver high-level training or mentoring; and the CCP International Award which offers support to arts organisations planning to make applications to the EU Culture Programme.

Annual programming grant	Closing date passed	Unlimited	The purpose of the annual programming grant is to assist applicants with the costs of their artistic programme. The scheme is not intended to provide support for ongoing operating/administrative costs.
Artist in the community scheme bursary award	Closing date passed	10000	The arts and older people bursary award, as part of the artist in the community scheme, aims to support an individual professional artist in any artform working in the field of arts and older people.
Circus project award	Closing date passed	20000	This award supports projects in the field of circus commencing in 2012.

Regularly funded organisations	Closing date passed	Unlimited	The purpose of this programme is to strengthen and make more secure a group of key arts organisations, by contributing to both their operating and artistic programming costs. This funding programme is not open to general applications. Instead, the Arts Council will invite organisations to participate on the basis of published criteria.
Small arts festivals scheme	Closing date passed	20000	The Small Arts Festivals scheme is designed in the main to support and provide opportunities for small arts festivals or events seeking funding of up to €20,000.
Touring and dissemination - advance planning	Closing date passed	Unlimited	The Touring and Dissemination of Work Scheme is designed to support the touring and dissemination of work across a range of artforms and arts practices due to take place in between January 2013 and December 2013.
Touring and dissemination of work scheme	Closing date passed	Unlimited	This scheme is designed to support the touring and dissemination of work in all arts disciplines starting between January 2013 to June 2013.
Young ensembles scheme	Closing date passed	10000	The primary purpose of this award is to support groups of young people between the ages of 12 and 23 to create ambitious and original work together in any art form (e.g., circus, dance, digital media, film, music, theatre, literature, visual arts, or any combination of the above).
