Resource organisations

Resource organisations are a constant, day-to-day, long-term support to artists and the arts community, often acting as a catalyst and broker of partnerships within and between the arts community and others. They have an exceptionally broad scope providing facilities, information and advice often alongside a core programme of production, exhibition, professional development, education and outreach. Many also offer an invaluable international perspective leading to opportunities for artists abroad.

The Arts Council recognises that artists, arts organisations and a range of different publics require support, facilities, information, advice, platforms and opportunities to develop and sustain their involvement with the arts. Through funding and support to resource organisations the Arts Council aims to provide a long-term, sustainable, specialised infrastructure of facilities, services and developmental opportunities to artists and the arts community in Ireland.
