Financial support

As the Irish Government’s development agency for the arts, the Arts Council is the major funder of the arts in Ireland. The Arts Council's grant from the Irish Exchequer in 2013 is €59.9 million with an additional €800,000, on a once-off basis, for the European Union Presidency Cultural Programme.
