10 May 2013: Ireland at Venice National Tour Opens in Dublin

An exhibition celebrating the return of Ireland’s representation at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2012 opened in Dublin’s CHQ Building in the Docklands.

79 festivals and events benefit from Arts Council support Festival goers, tourists and businesses around Ireland will benefit this year from further support by the Arts Council to bring the best in entertainment and the arts to festivals across the country.


30 April 2013: Procurement of Music Adviser

The Arts Council wishes to procure the services of a Music Adviser to meet the needs of the organisation both from a quality and service delivery perspective. The successful tenderer will be an experienced music practitioner with the expertise and experience required to work with the Arts Council's staff by assisting in the appraisal and assessment of funding applications and providing critical advice on artistic work.

The Arts Council extends its warmest congratulations to Kevin Barry on the news that his novel City of Bohane has been shortlisted for the 2013 IMPAC Dublin Literary Award.


02 April 2013: Over 80,000 people attended Into the Light exhibitions to mark Arts Council’s 60th Anniversary

Large attendance for Into the Light is positive for Irish visual arts. Into the Light, a major series of exhibitions celebrating the inspiring work of Irish artists and over 60 years of support for the sector by the Arts Council, has officially come to an end after more than 80,000 people viewed the works in galleries nationwide.
