Dr Éimear O’Connor HRHA received her PhD from University College, Dublin, and is an art historian specialising in Irish art, for which she has received several academic accolades: PhD Scholar at the Humanities Institute of Ireland, UCD; Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at TRIARC-Irish Art Research Centre, TCD, and more recently, the Clare and Tony White Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship at TRIARC-Irish Art Research Centre, TCD. She has been proposed as a Research Associate with the Department of History of Art and Architecture, TCD.
Eimear was elected an Honorary Royal Hibernian Academician in 2010 for her contribution to the arts in Ireland. She has lectured on Irish visual culture in academic and cultural and institutions in Ireland and America, and is editor and author of books, articles and reviews on the topic of Irish art and artists.
She has extensive experience of the Irish art world as a curator, and a professional artist who has shown work in Ireland, America and Denmark.
