09 November 2011: Arts Council reminder of deadlines for applications under its three main grant programmes

The Arts Council is reminding arts organisations of the deadline for applications under its three main grant programmes: Regularly Funded Organisations, Annual Programming Grants and Annual Funding. The 'window' for applications opened on Monday 24 October.

This relates to applications seeking funding for the period April 2012-March 2013.

Regularly Funded Organisations

Please note: This funding programme is not open to general applications. Closing date: Thursday, 24 November 2011 at 5:30pm. The application window for this funding stream opened on Monday, 24 October 2011.

The purpose of the Regularly Funded Organisations programme is to strengthen and make more secure a group of key arts organisations, by contributing to both their operating and artistic programming costs. Funding is allocated on an annual basis and is subject to the resources at the disposal of the Arts Council.

Annual Programming Grants

Closing date: Thursday, 24 November 2011 at 5:30pm. The application window for this funding stream opened on Monday, 24 October 2011.

The purpose of an Annual Programming Grant is to assist applicants with the cost of their artistic programme. The scheme is not intended to support arts organisations' ongoing administrative costs. However, where directly related to their artistic programme of work, applicants may request some support for proportionate administrative costs.

The Annual Programming Grants scheme is offered once a year. Organisations may apply for grants on a recurring basis each year. Organisations in receipt of a grant will be required to account for how the funding has been spent.

If you are new to the Annual Programming Grants funding programme and/or are considering applying for the first time, you are strongly advised to first consult with the relevant Head of Team within the Arts Council staff.

Annual Funding

Closing date: Thursday, 24 November 2011 at 5:30pm. The application window for this funding stream opened on Monday, 24 October 2011.

This funding programme is quite similar to the Revenue Funding scheme which was offered to organisations for the last time in 2006. Applicants may request a contribution towards both artistic programming costs and on-going administrative costs e.g. staffing/annual salary costs/rent on premises.

Annual Funding is offered once a year. Organisations may apply for funding on a recurring basis each year. Organisations in receipt of funding will be required to account for how the funding has been spent.

If you new to the Annual Funding programme and/or are considering applying for the first time, you are strongly advised to first consult with the relevant Head of Team within the Arts Council staff

Important

Applications can only be submitted through the Arts Council's online system.  Applicants who have not previously used this system must register in advance of making an application.  It is recommended that applicants allow five days for registration prior to making an application.
