The Arts and Education Committee, was established jointly by the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism and the Minister for Education and Science on 28 September. The committee has met four times to discuss its advice on aligning the Council’s strategies for promotion and encouragement of the arts with the priorities of the formal education system.
The Arts Council is deeply saddened by the passing of former member Patrick Murray, who was a member of the Arts Council from 1993-1998.
