14 May 2010: Arts Audiences publishes Evaluating your digital strategy: a mentoring report from the Youth Council

Emmet Sheerin and Anne O’Gorman from the National Youth Council of Ireland initially wanted assistance from their mentors in RTÉ Publishing to build an online community and social media network. However, the very valuable lesson they learnt from the team in RTÉ Publishing was to first concentrate on getting the basics of your digital strategy right.

The report from Emmet and Anne will be useful to you if you are:

  • considering starting a blog or social media campaign
  • planning to improve your presence online

The report is available from the Arts Audiences website:

About the New Media Mentoring Scheme

Launched by Arts Audiences in November 2009, the New Media Mentoring Scheme matches individuals with expertise in digital media with individuals in arts organisations seeking mentoring for specific projects in the area of new media marketing.

A key aspect to this initiative is that the mentored organisations share what they have learnt with the wider arts community. This report is the second report in a series of eight which will will be published on the Arts Audiences website over the coming weeks.
