A native of Sligo, Mr. Ferguson was a renowned businessman and art collector. In 1997 Vincent and his wife Noeleen donated 35 works by Irish artists to the Irish Museum of Modern Art.
Speaking about his death, Mary Cloake, Director of the Arts Council said: “Vincent was recognised as a supporter of the arts, he was a friend of artists and championed the development of the visual arts whenever he had the opportunity. We offer our sympathies to his wife Noeleen and his children”.
