The Arts Council has requested a meeting with the Provost of Trinity College, Dr. John Hegarty, following the announcement that the three-year professional actor-training programme is to be terminated.
The Arts Council was deeply concerned to hear of the closure of the course which has produced some of Ireland’s finest young theatre artists.
The Arts Council will be recommending that the decision be reconsidered as soon as possible.
