22 March 2010: Touring and dissemination of work scheme - 2010

The Arts Council is pleased to announce a new scheme for supporting the touring and dissemination of work in all arts disciplines. The principal purpose of the scheme is to ensure that audiences throughout the country may have access to high quality arts experiences.

Applications are invited for proposals seeking funding in support of high quality activities aimed at reaching various types of audiences in any art form or area of arts practice. These activities should be due to take place this year, or at least begin in 2010.

The Touring and Dissemination of Work scheme is open to applications from organisations, individuals and various types of networks / consortia. Applications are encouraged from networks, consortia or other collective groupings of presenters, particularly where these indicate a high degree of collaboration with the producing entity or artists. Applicants in receipt of other Arts Council funding are eligible to apply, provided it is clear that the touring or dissemination activity for which funding is sought is additional to those activities for which Arts Council funding has already been offered.

Applications must be submitted online. An online system for submitting application forms will be available and full details will be announced on 22 March.

While the 2010 scheme is intended to support touring and dissemination activity taking place in 2010 (or at least beginning in 2010), the Arts Council will soon announce an ongoing scheme to support touring and dissemination of work during the period 2011 - 2015. Those interested in applying for funding for activity scheduled to take place during 2011 and beyond are therefore advised to await the announcement of further details which will be made available before the end of April 2010. The deadline for the first round of applications for the ongoing scheme is expected to be due at the beginning of July 2010.
