The Arts Council has recently launched a new pilot scheme whose purpose is to stabilise and support a network of dance artists in residence across the country. Dance Artist Residency Scheme (DARS) is now open for applications on the Arts Council online services website.
Guidelines and details can be found by clicking on the following link: Dance Artist Residency Scheme
The deadline for the new schemes is Thursday, 12 August at 5.30pm.
The maximum award available is €15,000.
The Arts Council Dance Team will host an information clinic on DARS. The purpose of the clinic is to help those interested to clarify the main elements of the new scheme and to offer technical information on the application process.
The clinic will cover the following topics:
- overview of the purpose and priorities of the scheme
- information on making an application, including the new online system
- supporting materials
- common mistakes to avoid
- the assessment and decision-making process
questions and answers.
The information clinic will be held in the Artists' Resource Room at the Dance House in Dublin on Tuesday, 27 July at 1pm
