It describes our values and remit from Government, but more significantly, it builds on our professional expertise and knowledge, and on what we have learned from our ongoing conversations with the arts community and others about the key opportunities, and challenges, for the arts into the future. It also provides an overview of the Arts Council’s approach to supporting the arts.
We set policy to ensure that all of our funding is spent strategically, that all of our actions reflect the long-term interests of the arts community and that all of our decisions are transparent and fair. We aim to have policies which are current and relevant and which reflect our role as an expert agency in the arts.
