Description

The scheme provides support for professional performers and composers in Ireland through funding for music recording. The aim of this scheme is to ensure that the work of Irish composers and performers is available other than in live performance, and to ensure that important or neglected materials of Irish music are preserved and disseminated to the highest professional standard.

The scheme assists in the production and dissemination of audio or video recordings. It supports work by performers and composers of recognised ability working primarily in non-commercial genres. The scheme does not cover demo recordings or private recording projects as it is designed to support production of recordings that will be available to the public.

In 2011 a total award fund of €80,000 was made available and individual awards of up to €10,000 were made. It is expected that a similar budget will apply in 2012.

Deadline

Monday 17 September 2012. Please consult www.musicnetwork.ie or contact the organisation for further details.
