This scheme is co-funded by the Arts Council and the Department of Justice, Equality and Reform and administered by the Prison Education Service. Please note that this award may be subject to different conditions and criteria than the awards directly administered by the Arts Council. Requests for information or application forms should be directed to the Prison Education Service.
This scheme provides financial support to selected visual artists to conduct workshops over a period of 10 days in the education units in any of the Republic’s prisons. The maximum awarded per workshop is €2,400. A panel of interested and suitably qualified artists is currently being compiled. Interested individuals should contact the coordinator. Inclusion on the panel does not guarantee work.
