Applications are invited for proposals seeking funding to support the touring of work across all artform and arts practice areas for tours taking place in the Republic of Ireland with a start date in 2026.

The Arts Council is currently reviewing the way we fund touring and the parameters of this award are set to change. We consider change to be an integral part of our role as the development agency for the arts in Ireland. Changes to our decision-making
and policy-making are informed by data provided by the sector.
For details on the scheme including priorities, please refer to the 2026 Touring of Work Scheme – Advance Planning Guidelines for Applicants which will be available on this page from December 2024.
What has changed for this round?
- We have aligned the objectives and priorities of this award more closely to the Arts Council strategy Making Great Art Work.
- We have standardised the mandatory supporting material required for all applicants – some exceptions remain, so please read this guidance carefully.
- We have added a new application artform area (MDA / Arts Participation / YPCE). Applicants with a particular focus on Arts Participation or YPCE should select this as their primary artform area.
- We have aligned our assessment and decision-making processes to follow Arts Council peer-panel procedure.

How do I apply for this?
- Download and read the guidelines available at the top right-hand corner of this page.
- Check if there is any mandatory supporting material that must accompany your application. We may provide a template for the supporting material. If so, you can download it from the supporting materials section at the top right-hand corner of this page.
- All applications must be made through the online services website. You will be able to upload a wide range of support materials in electronic format along with your application form.
- You must be registered with the online services website to make an application. If you are not already registered, we recommend you register for online services as far in advance of the deadline as possible, as it may take five days for your online services registration to be processed.
