With over 25 years’ experience in the promotion and management of arts and cultural events, Pádraig has worked across a wide range of genres with some of the world’s leading artists and companies. These include Ennio Morricone, The Turner Prize, the Mariinsky Orchestra, the National Theatre and many more. He was the events manager for the first UK City of Culture, held in Derry in 2013 and prior to this managed the delivery of the world’s first International Beckett Festival, Happy Days, held in Enniskillen to critical acclaim in 2012.
For several years he was responsible for programme delivery and operations at the Ulster Bank Belfast Festival at Queen’s and latterly served as the festival’s Acting Director.
A graduate of the RIAM and NUI Galway, Pádraig is currently based in Belfast and is a Director of the award-winning Lumiere Events, working predominantly in the festival, broadcast and live event sectors. He is a member of the Institute of Directors and serves on the board of a number of companies and charitable organisations both north and south of the border.
